"Hello, I'm Hemalatha, and I am a bag designer from Bangalore, India. I create PDF patterns for beautiful and functional bags that are inspired by my love for travel, nature, and everyday life. My goal is to help you create your own unique and personalized bags that reflect your personality and style.

Prior to pursuing my passion for designing bags, I completed my engineering degree and worked as a software engineer for 13 years. However, my love for creating beautiful and functional bags was too strong to ignore, and with the support of my husband, I quit my job to pursue my passion.

I grew up in a small village in Coimbatore, where Indian middle-class families typically don't allow their children to choose arts and crafts as a profession. However, I always had a passion for creating beautiful things, and I found a way to make it work. I borrowed my sister's sewing machine and learned bag-making by watching YouTube videos.

To further my skills, I spent time learning tools to design patterns and researching how to create cut files for different cutting machines such as Cricut, Brother, and Silhouette. My experience from my previous jobs made it easy to implement what I learned, and I continue to refine my skills every day.

Aside from designing bags, I also love cooking and spending time with my husband and two boys. Cooking is another art form that requires creativity and attention to detail, much like designing bags. It's a hobby that brings me joy and allows me to express my love for my family and friends.
